Loddin · Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany
The seaside resort of Loddin is located on Kölpinsee, which lies behind the dune and is valued by anglers for its abundance of fish. In the resort you will find plenty of nature and tranquility. So if you need more “action” on vacation, you should choose another seaside resort with more tourist infrastructure. The Loddin dog beach is a beautiful sandy beach with fine white sand. During our visit, it was permitted to let the dog run off leash on the dog beach. Near the dog beach there is a bistro with a fish smokehouse. Public toilets are also not too far away. The parking lot, for which a fee is charged, is about 500 meters from the beach. Access to the dog beach is via a steel staircase with a closed floor, since the dog beach is located on the steep coast. | Parking: approx. 500 meters | Beach fee person/dog: Yes/No | Beach/water type: Sandy beach/shallow water | Restrooms available: Yes | Dining: (Yes) | Leash required on beach: No
Leashes are required statewide at public events such as fairs, in shops and zoos, and anywhere you cannot easily avoid other people. Forests: leash required year-round. Cities and municipalities may set stricter rules; on buses and trains the transport operator's terms apply.
This is a simplified overview, not legal advice. For binding rules in 2026 where you live and walk your dog, contact your local authority (e.g. municipal public order office).
