Holmer Siel Dog Beach

Another dog beach on the Nordstrand peninsula is located at Holmer Siel. Like the other dog beaches in Nordstrand, the Holmer Siel dog beach is fenced in. The dog beach lies in a narrow strip directly on the mudflats or the sea and is about 50 meters long. Depending on the water level due to the tides, you can go swimming or take a walk out onto the mudflats. Access to the water is via a set of stairs between the stone breakwaters. Next to the Holmer Siel dog beach there is also the nudist beach. Unfortunately, at this dog beach too, your dogs have to be kept on a leash everywhere. The only dog beach on the Schleswig-Holstein mainland coast where dogs are allowed to romp around off leash in the water or on the mudflats in certain areas is the St. Peter-Ording dog beach. The dog beach is a green beach, which consists of a grassy meadow. The Holmer Siel is the inflow to the Arlau storage basin, which lies behind the Holmer Siel dog beach. Parking lots are located at the Holmer Siel as well as at the access road to the Holmer Siel. Sanitary facilities are located at the Holmer Siel. Showers are spread throughout the beach area.
