Haffkrug Dog Beach

The seaside health resort of Haffkrug is located on the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic Sea coast in Lübeck Bay. The former fishing village of Haffkrug is known for its family-friendly atmosphere. The dog beach is in beach section 31, near the youth hostel. It is a lovely dog beach where you can rent a beach chair during the season. The separation by a small wooden fence works quite well here. That way, dogs don’t simply run outside the dog beach, and there are fewer problems with the “normal” beachgoers. From October 1 to March 31, you may also use the other beach areas with your four-legged friends. The fine sandy beach has only a few stones, and the water only gets deeper gradually. Good for dogs that don’t like to swim so much. Near the dog beach there are food and drink options as well as sanitary facilities. There are some parking spaces near the beach, but they fill up quickly during the season. You can find a parking space without much stress at the large parking lot on Pönitzer Chaussee. Other beaches nearby are the Sierksdorf dog beach and the Scharbeutz dog beach. | Parking: approx. 500 meters | Beach fee person/dog: Yes/No | Beach/water condition: fine sandy beach/shallow water | Restrooms available: Yes | Food and drink: Yes | Leash required on the beach: No
