Horumersiel Schillig Dog Beach

Located in the Wangerland, Horumersiel-Schillig is a popular destination for all vacationers as well as spa and wellness visitors. The North Sea health resort has all the important facilities for a relaxing vacation on the North Sea coast. Thanks to its geographic location on a peninsula, Horumersiel-Schillig has a maritime stimulating climate and miles of beaches. If the weather isn't so good, there are two swimming pools in the Wangerland: a seawater indoor pool and the Friesland-Therme. Of course, neither can be visited with a dog. For families with children there are also various children's play houses, an activity park, water skiing, mudflat hikes, or a few riding stables offering trail rides. The Horumersiel Schillig dog beach offers visitors with dogs a wide sandy beach. Visitors who need a little more space and don't place much value on large infrastructure at the beach get their money's worth here. Direct parking near the dog beach is rather scarce. Another dog beach nearby is in Hooksiel. Unfortunately, at this otherwise very beautiful beach, as almost everywhere on the Lower Saxony North Sea coast, dogs must be kept on a leash. The beach resorts in the Wangerland are completely closed to dogs. For visitors with dogs, there are a few dog-friendly restaurants that we may also visit with our dogs. If you're looking for a beach without a leash requirement, you might want to take a look at our dog beach map for Lower Saxony. | Parking: approx. 500 meters | Beach fee person/dog: Yes/No | Beach/water type: sandy beach/mudflats | Restrooms available: No | Food and drink: No | Leash required at the beach: Yes
