Hooksiel Dog Beach

The North Sea resort of Hooksiel in the Friesland district of Lower Saxony is said to be especially dog-friendly? On marked sections of the sand and grass beach of the resort town of Hooksiel, dog owners have the opportunity to take their four-legged friends out. We visited the dog beach in 2015 and were torn about it. There is really plenty of space, but the leash requirement doesn't really make a visit to the dog beach a great experience. And to let my dog run in a fenced lawn area, I don't need to drive to the dog beach, which is also relatively expensive. A fairly large parking lot is available near the Hooksiel dog beach. Hooksiel's sights include the former town hall with its onion dome tower, the harbor, which is a protected historic monument, and warehouse buildings. Hooksiel is an ideal starting point for a trip on one of the passenger ships to Norderney, Juist or a neighboring seaside resort. The seawater wave pool and the shell museum make for a varied stay. Sports-minded vacationers in Hooksiel can not only sail, surf, kite or water ski, but also ride horses, play tennis and cycle.
