Description
The Glücksburg Dog Forest offers a spacious wooded area for walking dogs. There is a loop trail around Lake Roikiersee that is about 7 km long. Dogs are allowed to run free in certain areas but must be kept on a leash when leaving the forest. The area is not fenced in, so caution is advised. Shaded areas are available, but amenities such as poop bags and parking are not provided. The forest is accessible 24 hours a day.
Breeding & nesting season (orientation)
In busy areas of Schleswig-Holstein, dogs must be leashed. In forests, dogs may only be taken along on a leash and on forest paths, year-round. On beaches with lots of bathers, dogs are banned from 1 April to 31 October except on designated dog beaches; municipalities may set different rules. Violations can be fined.
