Tossens Dog Beach

The North Sea resort of Tossens is located on the Butjadingen peninsula and belongs to the municipality of Butjadingen. The nearest larger city is Wilhelmshaven. In addition to the dog beach, the North Sea resort of Tossens has a supervised swimming beach from May to September. Unfortunately, the dog beach area is not supervised. Near the beach zone there is a large playground with various climbing structures as well as a meadow for flying kites. A campground is also located directly on the beach. All water lovers will find swimming opportunities in the North Sea as well as in the subtropical water park Aqua Mundo, which belongs to the Center Parcs holiday park. In the season from March to October, you can take part in guided mudflat hikes. A special feature here is that people with walking disabilities can take part in the “hike” using mudflat vehicles (Wattmobile). For your culinary needs, there is a restaurant located somewhat above the beach with a view of the mudflats and the dog beach. Limited parking is available right near the beach access.
