Butjadingen · Niedersachsen, Germany
The Butjadingen Burhave dog beach is located at the North Sea resort of Burhave on the Butjadingen peninsula on the Lower Saxony North Sea coast. Like the entire peninsula, the North Sea resort of Burhave is very well developed for tourism. Various restaurants and cafés as well as various shopping options are available near the dog beach. A special feature is the lagoon-like seawater swimming lake. Here you are independent of the tides. For children, there is a so-called “play barn” near the beach where kids can burn off energy even in bad weather. The dog beach in Butjadingen Burhave is not particularly large or attractive, but probably serves its purpose. It is overgrown with grass. There was probably a sandy beach here once. Here, too, they probably thought, we need a dog beach, where do we still have a piece of unused land. Other seaside resorts do this much better. Here, too, a leash is required on the dog beach. In season, some beach chairs are available for rent. A parking lot and public restrooms are nearby. Important note. The dog beach is now completely fenced in (as of 2017). Access to the water is no longer possible. Many thanks for the tip and the pictures from René. The Tossens dog beach and the Dangast dog beach are also near this beach. | Parking: approx. 100 meters | Beach fee person/dog: Yes/No | Beach/water type: Grass/Tidal flats | Restrooms available: Yes | Dining: Yes | Leash required on beach: Yes
From 1 April to 15 July, dogs must be leashed in open countryside, including when swimming.
