The Baltic Sea resort of Thiessow is located at the southeasternmost tip of Rügen, on the Mönchgut Peninsula. Thiessow is one of the quieter beach resorts on Rügen. Here, relaxation and a simple, family-friendly atmosphere take center stage. Even during peak season, you can find quiet spots to relax on the beaches here. There are a total of 3 dog-friendly beaches in Thiessow and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, dogs must be kept on a leash at all of them. That’s really a shame, since these are beautiful beaches on Mönchgut. There is an admission fee for both two-legged and four-legged visitors.

Breeding & nesting season (orientation)

Leashes are required statewide at public events such as fairs, in shops and zoos, and anywhere you cannot easily avoid other people. Forests: leash required year-round. Cities and municipalities may set stricter rules; on buses and trains the transport operator's terms apply.
