Hamburg · Hamburg, Germany
The Schleemer Bach green corridor in Hamburg-Mitte is a 17,000 m² dog park located in a quiet area away from traffic. The area is not fenced in and offers shade. There are no poop bags or parking spaces. The park is open 24 hours a day and is described as beautiful and relaxing, although some users complain about the high number of cyclists.
In Hamburg, a leash is required almost everywhere, including forests. Off-leash is only allowed in designated dog exercise areas or with an exemption from the leash rule, but in forests the leash rule applies even then. In some nature reserves, dogs are banned entirely. Follow the signs.
This is a simplified overview, not legal advice. For binding rules in 2026 where you live and walk your dog, contact your local authority (e.g. municipal public order office).
