Dahme Dog Beach

The seaside health resort of Dahme lies on the Baltic Sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein, 20 km northeast of Neustadt in Lübeck Bay. Dahme offers visitors with dogs a total of four dog beaches. Your dogs are allowed to run off leash on the dog beaches. The other beaches are off limits to you during the main season from April 1 to the end of October. A leash is also required around the beach area, for example on the beach promenade. Below is an overview of the four dog beaches in Dahme. The northernmost dog beach in Dahme stretches from the municipal boundary to the nudist beach near “Jenaer Platz.” Part of the dog beach is also a nudist beach. Restrooms with toilets are about 200 meters away. A parking lot is not far from the Dahme North dog beach (300 meters). Route planner This dog beach is located in the area of Eurocamping ZEDANO and the Dahmer-Schleuse (Dahme lock). This is where the “Oldenburger Graben” flows into the sea. The Dahmer Schleuse dog beach is a sandy beach, and the water is shallow, as is typical for the Baltic Sea. Toilets are about 200 meters from the dog beach. A parking lot is about 500 meters away. Route planner This dog beach is near the youth camp and the Dahme event grounds. Toilets and showers are not far from the dog beach. Here, too, you will of course find a sandy beach. Here the beach area is somewhat narrower than at the other dog beaches. A parking lot is approx. 200 meters from the dog beach. Route planner In the north of Dahme's white sandy beach, which is more than six kilometers long, a magnificent dune landscape stretches out. On the steep coast in the south of Dahme stands Dahme's landmark. The Dahmeshöved lighthouse, a protected historic monument, offers a fantastic view across Lübeck Bay all the way to Mecklenburg. Besides the dog beaches, there are also events for four-legged friends. From April to October, all dog lovers meet on Sundays at 10 a.m. at the event grounds. A group dog walk takes place every Wednesday and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Kellenhusener Wald dog exercise area. The resort town of Dahme offers its visitors a wide variety of sports activities. Besides surfing, sailing, kiting or beach volleyball, a bike ride into the impressive countryside or along the Baltic Sea Cycle Route is worthwhile. Dahme's newly redesigned promenade invites you to stroll. Dahme's restaurants, inns and cafés welcome guests with dogs and offer a diverse selection of regional and international cuisine. The nearest beaches are the Fehmarn dog beaches and the Kellenhusen dog beach. In Dahme, visitors with dogs are welcome. You can already tell from the four dog beaches alone.
