Schönhagen Dog Beach

The Baltic seaside resort of Schönhagen belongs to the municipality of Brodersby on the Baltic Sea, in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde. For this reason, the beach is occasionally also called Brodersby dog beach. There are two dog beaches in the Baltic seaside resort of Schönhagen. The main dog beach lies a little north of the nudist beach. You can find another dog beach in the south of Schönhagen, on the steep coast (toward Damp). The Schönhagen dog beach is about 600 meters from the large parking lot and can be reached via the beach path. The dog beach in Schönhagen is distinguished by its especially white sand. Restrooms and various food and drink options are located near the parking lot. The dog beach in the south of Schönhagen (on the steep coast) is free of the resort tax. If you use the dog beach north of the main swimming beach, you either pay the beach fee through your accommodation or, as a day visitor, directly at the beach (April 1 to October 31). During our visit, nothing extra was charged for dogs. The parking lot was also free (this may have changed). | Parking: approx. 600 meters | Beach fee person/dog: Yes/No | Beach/water condition: sandy beach/shallow water | Restrooms available: Yes | Food and drink: Yes | Wi-Fi on the beach: Yes, at the main beach (without dogs) | Leash required on the beach: No
