Rothsee
Allersberg · Bayern, Germany
Description
The dog beach at Rothsee in Hilpoltstein is a small area equipped with poop bags. There are parking options and shaded areas. Some visitors complain about the proximity to the walking trail and the small size of the beach. Many dog owners feel the area isn’t large enough to qualify as a proper dog beach, while the lake itself is described as beautiful.
Breeding & nesting season (orientation)
Bavaria has no statewide leash rule that applies only during breeding season. Cities and municipalities often set their own bylaws—check local rules.
This is a simplified overview, not legal advice. For binding rules in 2026 where you live and walk your dog, contact your local authority (e.g. municipal public order office).
