Description
The Riesebusch dog park in Bad Schwartau is a large, unpaved area that offers dogs plenty of space to play. It is open 24 hours a day and has shaded areas. The adjacent river provides a water source for the dogs. In the fall and winter, it’s a good idea to wear rubber boots, as the field can get muddy. The field is popular with dog owners because dogs can run off-leash here.
Breeding & nesting season (orientation)
In busy areas of Schleswig-Holstein, dogs must be leashed. In forests, dogs may only be taken along on a leash and on forest paths, year-round. On beaches with lots of bathers, dogs are banned from 1 April to 31 October except on designated dog beaches; municipalities may set different rules. Violations can be fined.
