Nürnberg · Bayern, Germany
The Laufamholz dog park in the eastern part of the city is completely fenced in, but not escape-proof. There are two entrances without a gate, and the upper entrance borders a heavily trafficked street. The park offers several horseshoe-shaped areas for undisturbed running. Seating made from tree trunks and poop bags are available, though shaded areas are limited. The park is popular with dog owners, even though dogs occasionally dig there. There is ample parking nearby.
Bavaria has no statewide leash rule that applies only during breeding season. Cities and municipalities often set their own bylaws—check local rules.
This is a simplified overview, not legal advice. For binding rules in 2026 where you live and walk your dog, contact your local authority (e.g. municipal public order office).
