Berlin · Berlin, Germany
The Kaulsdorfer Lakes in Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Berlin, are a popular local recreation area with a section open 24 hours a day for dogs. There is parking available as well as shaded areas. Wide, unpaved paths lead along the water’s edge. The lakes are suitable for swimming in the summer and are perfect for walks. However, there are few places to sit, which can be a problem for older visitors. The cleanliness of the beaches varies, and visitors are advised to take their trash with them.
In Berlin, a leash is generally required across the whole city, including forests. Exceptions are designated dog exercise areas and off-leash zones. Follow the signs on site.
