Hubertusstrasse

Mönchengladbach · Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany

Description

The dog club offers a large dog run, though rubber boots are required in bad weather. According to Google reviews, there is a lack of shaded areas because there are few trees. Some users complain about potholes and the risk of injury on the grounds, while others praise the maintenance and improvements made to the field. Fresh wood chips have been spread in critical areas, and safety measures along the fence have been improved. Overall, there is positive feedback regarding the use of the area, though there are also suggestions for improvement.

Breeding & nesting season (orientation)

In North Rhine-Westphalia, leashes are required in pedestrian zones, fenced parks with playgrounds, at events and in public buildings, among other places. Dogs classed as dangerous must be leashed outside your own property; large dogs (from 40 cm at the withers or 20 kg) must be leashed in built-up areas on streets, paths and squares. In forests your dog may only run free on paths; off the paths a leash is required, and nature reserves often have stricter rules. The state recommends leashing dogs from 1 March to 31 July to protect young animals and ground-nesting birds. Cities and municipalities may have additional rules, so follow the signs.

This is a simplified overview, not legal advice. For binding rules in 2026 where you live and walk your dog, contact your local authority (e.g. municipal public order office).
