Berlin · Berlin, Germany
The Hakenfelde dog park in Berlin’s Spandau district offers plenty of space for dogs to run freely and for walks across approximately 20 hectares. It stretches from Hakenfelder Straße to the tracks of the Osthavelländische Eisenbahn and is crossed by Schönwalder Straße, where parking is available. A stream, the Kuhlake, allows dogs to splash around. In the middle of the area, there is a fenced-in forest playground where dogs are not allowed. Due to the presence of wild boars, dog owners should keep a close eye on their pets.
In Berlin, a leash is generally required across the whole city, including forests. Exceptions are designated dog exercise areas and off-leash zones. Follow the signs on site.
