Hamburg · Hamburg, Germany
The dog park on Gersonweg in Hamburg-Bergedorf is open 24 hours a day and offers plenty of space for dogs. However, there is no fenced-in area, no poop bags, and no shaded areas. Parking is not available. The field is quiet, surrounded by lawns and trees, and has small paths that are perfect for playing.
In Hamburg, a leash is required almost everywhere, including forests. Off-leash is only allowed in designated dog exercise areas or with an exemption from the leash rule, but in forests the leash rule applies even then. In some nature reserves, dogs are banned entirely. Follow the signs.
This is a simplified overview, not legal advice. For binding rules in 2026 where you live and walk your dog, contact your local authority (e.g. municipal public order office).
