Hamburg · Hamburg, Germany
The dog park on Eidelstedter Weg in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel is open 24 hours a day. It is fenced in and features benches, trash cans, and water bowls. Most of the area is paved with concrete, which some users find to be a drawback. Nevertheless, many appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to let their dogs run freely. The park is easily accessible, but can get muddy when it rains.
In Hamburg, a leash is required almost everywhere, including forests. Off-leash is only allowed in designated dog exercise areas or with an exemption from the leash rule, but in forests the leash rule applies even then. In some nature reserves, dogs are banned entirely. Follow the signs.
This is a simplified overview, not legal advice. For binding rules in 2026 where you live and walk your dog, contact your local authority (e.g. municipal public order office).
