Dornum Neßmersiel Dog Beach

The Dornum Neßmersiel dog beach is located near the ferry harbor to Baltrum. For food and drink, various gastronomic options are available. From the viewing platform at the harbor you have a good view of the North Sea and the East Frisian islands of Norderney, Baltrum and Langeoog. The Dornum Neßmersiel dog beach is about 5,000 sq m in size and beach chairs can be rented. Showers are available for dog and owner. The dog beach is divided into an area with sand and an area with grass. According to the website of the municipality of Dornum, the dogs can “romp around to their heart's content on the beach or in the water”. Unfortunately, the website does not tell us how that is supposed to work with the leash requirement that applies there. Only in the existing, fenced-in Fun Agility Park are dogs allowed off leash to complete the obstacle courses.
