Nordseebad Carolinensiel-Harlesiel · Niedersachsen, Germany
In the district of Wittmund, the North Sea resort of Carolinensiel Harlesiel lies directly on the East Frisian North Sea coast. The main attraction is the harbor of Carolinensiel – Harlesiel, from where you can take a boat trip to Wangerooge. For all beach lovers, there is a small beach resort in Harlesiel. If you arrive by motorhome, you will find a motorhome parking area right near the beach. The dog beach of Carolinensiel Harlesiel is located at the Harlesiel beach resort. The dog beach has been separated from the rest of the beach with a fence. Admission to this dog beach is €1.50 (as of 2021) per dog. If desired, a beach chair (Strandkorb) can also be rented. As always on the North Sea, a leash requirement applies here as well. Also at the dog beach and on the mudflats. Dogs are allowed on boat trips departing from Harlesiel. A large parking lot as well as public restrooms are nearby. Food and drink is also available nearby. Visitors describe the dog beach as clean and well kept. It is criticized that there are too few beach chairs, as they are quickly booked up during the season. Of course, the leash requirement is not particularly welcome among visitors, but at least there is a fenced-in off-leash area. Also nearby are the Dornum Neßmersiel dog beach and the Schillig dog beach. | Parking: approx. 400 meters | Beach fee person/dog: Yes/Yes | Beach/water condition: sandy beach/mudflats | Restrooms available: Yes | Food and drink: Yes | Leash required on the beach: Yes
From 1 April to 15 July, dogs must be leashed in open countryside, including when swimming.
