Döbeln · Sachsen, Germany
The dog park on the Freiberger Mulde in Döbeln is a large, fenced-in area that is partially shaded. It is open 24 hours a day and offers plenty of space for dogs. However, visitors report a lack of cleanliness, particularly dog waste that isn’t cleaned up. There are no poop bag dispensers or parking available nearby. The field could be better maintained, as it turns into mud when it rains. Seating is limited.
Saxony has no uniform statewide leash rule for forests and open countryside. In hunting districts you must not let your dog run free unsupervised; violations can be fined. Stricter rules may apply locally, for example in protected areas or municipalities, so follow the signs.
This is a simplified overview, not legal advice. For binding rules in 2026 where you live and walk your dog, contact your local authority (e.g. municipal public order office).
