Alsenpark
Hamburg · Hamburg, Germany
Description
The dog park in Alsenpark in Hamburg-Altona offers a well-maintained area for dogs. It is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on weekends during specific hours. There is a trash can, but no seating. Overall, it’s a good option for dog owners who want to provide their pets with a safe place to play.
Breeding & nesting season (orientation)
In Hamburg, a leash is required almost everywhere, including forests. Off-leash is only allowed in designated dog exercise areas or with an exemption from the leash rule, but in forests the leash rule applies even then. In some nature reserves, dogs are banned entirely. Follow the signs.
This is a simplified overview, not legal advice. For binding rules in 2026 where you live and walk your dog, contact your local authority (e.g. municipal public order office).
